Out of all costume styles I think The Elven Styles are the ones I enjoy the most … inspired by J.R.R.Tolkiens world of Middle Earth and his style of Elves… Being that the Lord of the Rings films and books are some of my favorites, it is naturally a favorite costume style of mine. So there will be many more elven styles added to this page, but below are just a few of the ones I have created.
Arwen’s Battle Costume~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This costume was custom made for a customer that wanted a costume inspired by the one that Arwen wore in the extra scene in Lord of the Rings: Two Towers. This scene was cut from the movie, but there are still some images of Arwen’s costume that she would have worn at Helms Deep.
Please note this costume was inspired by the orginal, the customer prefered that some changes be made and because there are not many images to go on…I looked to other Elven styles for inspiratation.
This costume consists of a coat dress, matching belt and an elven style gown.
The skirt is made with flaired godets and a riding slit up the front and the back. The gown also features an attached belt that is made of the same silk fabric. Graceful lines and lots of elven details finish off the dress.
The sleeves on the underdress are lined with a silk burnout velvet fabric that swish and sway with every movement.
This Coat Dress is made of pure silk velvet and lined with a pretty satin.
A long row of ornate silver buttons finish the coat and can be worn buttoned or unbuttoned with the same elegant look.
The collar features piping and is fully lined in the soft silk velvet.
At the shoulders there are long attached wing like pieces that really give the costume that elven look without adding too much bulk. The coat also featured riding slits up the back.
Below is a photo of the back, the “wings” are best viewed when someone is wearing it.
I also created a matching bag to go with the costume….
Here are few more pictures of some of the details of the costume… and a picture of the Arwen Purse.

**Thank you for looking at my costumes. Please note that I do not claim to have my costumes identical to the original movie versions. My costumes are inspired by versions to wear in daily life. I am not connected with any movie companies, the costumes you see here are not movie props, they are garments created by me for an inspired by look. All movie stills and pictures are used for research purposes only. Images were found through a search engine or stills were taken directly from the movies. **
