This Regency gown was inspired by the Alice in Wonderland story and also by Tim Burton's signature director style and mood.
I shall soon be offering this dress for sale on my Etsy Shop. So stay tuned!
We also added my Alice inspired Gloves to complete the look. Might as well add another element of whimsical style, don't ya think?
A few closer up view of the details.
The sleeves are a classic puffed style and the skirt is a double layered very full gathered silhouette. As you can see better in these "spinning" pictures below. The skirt does work well for that, if you feel so inclined to do a bit of spinning and dancing.
For an added bit of fun, I painted words from the "Jaberwocky Poem" *from "Through the Looking Glass" story onto the front of the gown. It created a fun style to a more simple dress shape I think.
I had fun with this costume... thanks for looking at it!
