This little costume was highly inspired by the costume worn by Susan Pevensie in Disney's Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.
Susan's Narnia costume includes a lovely green dress and pretty periwinkle cape.
The cape is trimmed with a princess inspired woven trim and golden cloap buttons embellished with an ornate lion design...rather Aslan themed. I thought it was perfect for this costume.
The neckline of the dress is accented with embroidery crafted from a pretty green thread. Little green eyelets complete the look with a touch of silken green cord.
The medieval inspired sleeves are crafted with ivory linen accents and dark green woven trim. I also added a touch of the ivory colored linen to the neckline to create an "underdress" look. As seen in the teen version of the costume.
Above in the photo you can see a bit more of the neckline detail.
The long green dress zips up in the back with an invisible zipper. Looks cute worn with a leather belt as well...captures a little of the movie style.
Here you can see the long princess style cape. Created from a lovely periwinkle color.
I also recieved some lovely photos from the customer who bought this costume.
The colors appear a little more bright in her photos than the actual costume above....doesn't she look cute? Very Narnia Style.
