Elizabeth Swann Pirate King Inspired Costume version 3
For this costume my customer was looking for something inspired by the costume Elizabeth Swann wears when she is the "Pirate King" in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.
This is actually the 3rd version of this costume I have made. (I think it is one of my favorites though!) The detailed trim and black linen fabrics were so nice to work with.
The costume includes a fully detailed black linen coat that is lined with a rayon blend. Ornate gold trims accent the coat and really give a nod to the original Asian inspired details on the movie costume. Golden hand done embroidery was added to the sleeves.
A detailed metal belt draws attention to the small waist while the sleeves are adorned with more trim and vintage metal buttons. Vegan leather wrist cuffs add a fun touch for sword fighting.
The collar is adored with layers of golden trims. Vegan leather belt and side panels give off that pirate vibe to the costume. Detailed woven silk trim adds the final touch to the hem of the coat.
Here is a close up of the collar and belt detail...

I also made another costume just like the one above for a customer who wanted the leather petal collar added to her costumes. Here are some pictures of her wearing it at a Comic Con. So fun!
