Greetings,
Today I thought I would share a new dress I made.
I have a problem of not making things for myself. So.... I decided to try out a new dress pattern and see how it went.
The pattern I chose was this pattern from Colette Patterns. A local company here in Portland.
I was looking for a simple and elegant pattern to dress up or down and this pattern fitted that style exactly.
For the pictures I styled it with a couple pirate things. ;) But as you can see the dress can be dressed up with many looks in mind.
Here is a back shot as well...
I would highly recommend this pattern. It is a beginner level pattern, so perfect for everyone. I did make a few fit alterations, but those were just my usual fit issues that I always have.
The fabric is umm.........I have no idea. It was marked as "content unknown". But it feels like a wool blend of some kind. I think.
I'll most likely style this with a pair of tights, knee high boots and my hair down in waves.
Thanks for reading! Have an awesome day.

That is very pretty! Alot of dresses don't look right to me when they're made with thick, warm fabrics. But this one looks very winter-appropriate and stylish. And I love your pirate stuff! ;)

Greetings!
@Arya, why thank you.
Same with me, most fall dresses...(like sweater dresses) don't flatter me. So thus the reason I was on the hunt for a flattering version.
Glad you like the pirate stuff! Thought it added a fun touch. :)
@Fidelia,
Thank you very much.
The Arwen coronation dress is coming along.
I have about a month left of beading work to do.
Only a couple more hundred beads to go. :)
